Honest herbs, beautifully kept.

Moon Care is the two of us. We make every batch together, but the idea was my wife’s, and it started with a question she kept asking: why does natural Indian skincare so often feel cheap?

Order a herbal face pack online and, in our experience, you get a big pouch of powder, usually around 500 grams. Many of the ones we tried smelled of added perfume. Some were a colour a little too bright to be just herbs.

You open it once, and then it sits in a humid bathroom for the five or six months it takes to finish. Long before the end it has clumped, faded and lost its scent. Nothing about it feels fresh, or natural, or looked after.

Walk past any beauty counter and everything is beautifully made: the jar, the box, the words on it. It reassures you that you’re buying something good, even when the ingredient list runs to thirty lines.

Indian herbs, which need nothing added at all, were getting the opposite treatment. We wanted to give honest herbs the experience they deserve.

We started in our kitchen, drying tulsi, neem and beetroot ourselves. The first batch went through a heat dryer to save time. It came out looking like dust and smelling of nothing.

So we slowed down: leaves spread out in the shade for four or five days, away from direct sun. The herbs kept their colour, their scent and their oils. We have dried everything that way since.

Every pack is hand-mixed in small batches and sealed in a single-use 5 g sachet, so your sixth ritual is as fresh as your first. No preservatives, no colours, no fragrance. Every ingredient is named on the card.

And because natural should feel special, every box arrives like a gift: art posters you choose, a daisy candle, a bookmark and a small wrapped surprise. We used every formula ourselves, week after week, before we sold a single box.
