Privacy policy

Moon Care Company ("Moon Care Co.", "we", "us") runs this website. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you visit or buy from us, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it. We follow India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the rules made under it.

What we collect

• When you order: your name, email, mobile number, delivery address, and any gift message.
• When you subscribe: your email address.
• When you pay: payments are handled by Razorpay. We receive confirmation that you paid and the payment method type. We never see or store your full card, UPI or bank details.
• When you browse: device and browser type, pages visited, approximate location, how you arrived (for example from an Instagram post or a creator's link) and what you do on the site, through cookies and the analytics tools listed below.
• When you start checkout: the details you enter, saved with the unpaid order so we can help if the payment fails.
• When you write to us: whatever you choose to include in your email or message.

Why we use it

• To process, pack, ship and support your order
• To send order confirmations, tracking updates and replies to your questions
• To send ritual-night emails and updates, only if you've signed up (you can unsubscribe any time)
• If you start checkout but don't pay, to send you one reminder email with a link back to your bag
• To understand how the site is used and make it better
• To measure which posts, creators and ads bring visitors, and to show our ads to people who have visited
• To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations

Who we share it with

Only the people who need it to get your order to you:

• Razorpay, to process payments
• Courier partners, who receive your name, address and phone number to deliver
• Service providers who host the website and send email, under their own privacy terms
• Google Analytics, Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and Microsoft Clarity, which tell us how visitors use the site and how our ads perform. Clarity records anonymised replays of visits; checkout, order and tracking details are hidden from those recordings. We send them product and order values, never your name, address, phone number or email.
• Authorities, only when the law requires it

We never sell your personal data.

Cookies

We use your browser's local storage to keep your bag between visits, and to remember for 30 days how you first arrived (for example an Instagram link or a search engine), which is saved with your order so we know which of our posts and partners work. Google Analytics, the Meta Pixel and Microsoft Clarity set cookies to measure visits and ads. You can block cookies in your browser settings, use Google's Analytics opt-out add-on, or change your Meta ad preferences. The shop keeps working either way.

How long we keep it

Order and invoice records are kept for as long as Indian tax law requires (generally up to 8 years). Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe. Everything else is deleted when we no longer need it.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

• tell you what personal data we hold about you
• correct or update it
• delete it (unless the law requires us to keep it)
• stop sending you marketing emails
• nominate someone to exercise these rights on your behalf

Children

Our products are meant for adults. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
